CMI Melaka was established by the state government with the primary goal of managing the state’s investments, properties, and other strategic assets. It serves as a corporate arm of the Melaka state government, focusing on generating revenue, fostering economic development, and ensuring efficient management of state-owned resources.
CMI Melaka plays a crucial role in the economic development of the state by attracting investments, creating job opportunities, and supporting the state government’s broader development agenda. Its activities are aligned with Melaka’s strategic goals, particularly in areas such as tourism, industrial development, and urbanization.

Founded on 3 March 1992 by Dato’ Haji Othman, Amona Group of Companies started as a small family business with focus on property development. Over the years, the company has expanded its expertise into construction, trading, ICT, telecommunications, and energy.
Amona Group of Companies has successfully completed various commercial and residential projects across Malaysia, often in partnership with State Government agencies. Building on its success, the company restructured and strengthened its team, enabling it to explore international markets.
Amona Group of Companies core business are property construction, road maintenance, telecommunication technologies, and port handling.
